Everything you need to know

Since 2017, we’ve been an inviting community for expat netballers from all walks of life.

Our aim is to spread the word and love of netball in the Netherlands and to provide a fun and quality level of competition for all those who love this sport. We are an inclusive club of players from all levels and genders.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A TRAINING SESSION?

We use the app SPOND for all our interclub communications, to organise our training sessions, matches and tournaments. Download this app on your phone or tablet, and join with group code TDDCD.

You can then sign up for training sessions based on your availability or chat to us directly.

WHEN:  We train every Wednesday from 19:30 – 21:15.

WHERE: Sporthal Hart van Noord, Trumanlaan 60, Utrecht. You will find us on the 2nd floor and parking is free.

COST:  Your first session is for free, after that it is €9 pay-per-play. You pay per session so turn up when it suits you. You can pay with cash or by bank transfer.  For bank transfer you can pay it to Utrecht Netball Club,

NL 79 BUNQ 2085 4705 13.  You can also join as a quarterly, half year or yearly member at a discounted rate. Check out our Membership page for more info.

WHAT TO BRING: Indoor sport shoes, water bottle and a smile. Life is good. Please keep nails short and take off all jewellery as per standard netball rules.

NOTE: You have to be 18+ in order to participate.

WHAT IS THE STRUCTURE OF A TRAINING SESSION?

We offer various types of training sessions to tickle all of your netball needs. The UNC vs UNC nights offer competitive match nights, Skills Training sessions to improve your netball abilities as well as Pick up a Bib and Play nights that offer friendly match play. We usually start with a 10 minute warmup, stretching and a few drills before getting into the session.

DO YOU COMPETE AGAINST OTHER TEAMS?

Luckily for us, netball has grown a lot in the last decade with sister netball clubs in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Maastricht, The Hague, Hilversum and Amersfoort. We regularly organise intercity matches against these clubs and in the 2023/2024 netball season, we will participate in the Dutch netball league pilot series. If this is not enough netball for you, we also participate in locally hosted netball tournaments as well as in other amateur European netball tournaments.

SPREAD THE WORD

Do you know someone who may also be interested in playing netball in Utrecht? We’d love to hear from you and ask you to help us to spread the word. We are closely affiliated with our sister clubs and looking to keep growing within the Netherlands. If you know anyone keen to start up a club in another city, contact us for assistance.
